In preparation of the pre-visualisation exercise, I was asked to conduct some research by finding some rigs to use for my work. I originally thought of using the Morpheus rig (see Fig. 1) by Josh Burton for my male character (Nick) since it has more diverse features to change as opposed to the Eleven rig I have used for previous 3D works but Ben suggested I use a simpler rig such as Blik or Blok instead. All 3D examples of 11 Second Club entries I have looked at in this entry use the Morpheus rig. Although I was initially indicisive as to which rig to use for Nettie (the female character) I eventually decided to use Blik (a tall and thin blocky character, see Fig. 2) as (Nettie) and Blok (a short and fat blocky character, see Fig. 3) for Nick.

Prior to producing my second Kiss of Death storyboard, I looked at how other film clips were interpreted by looking on the 11 Second Club website. Below are a few examples:
February 2014 - audio clip from NewsRadio TV series
Mafia by Giga Gudushuari
The men are wearing hats that members of the Mafia or film noir criminals would wear.

Bill Noir by Nick Smith (former London Metropolitan University student)
The clip is in black and white and strongly influences elements of film noir.

Yet Another Cubicle Entry by Matthew Koh
The clip uses 2D animation and is made in black and white

September 2014 - audio clip from Mad Men TV series
Spaceship by Josh Adler
3D animation, back and white old film style

Photo memories by AA
3D animation, grainy black and white film.

All the 11 Second Club entries had unique and interesting interpretations of the sound clip. Many clips have interpretations that are out of the context of the original story.
