Noriko's animation for Puma's "Peace Starts With Me" advertising campaign
On Monday 1st December 2014, Noriko Okaku from the Royal Collage of Art came to my university to give my class a workshop on how to make a New Year's e-card in Adobe After Effects. She uses a combination of cut-outs, drawings and photography in her work and uses Adobe After Effects to give her projects the illusion of stop-frame animation rather than smooth animation because she likes the jumpiness of the animation. Projects Noriko has worked on included an animation for Puma's "Peace Starts With Me' advertsing campaign (see above) and an animation projected onto a T-shirt at a fashion show.
Below is the e-card I made during Noriko's workshop. I am pleased with how the card turned out because animation in Adobe After Effects is one of my strongest points in my course although I am slightly dissatisfied with the Adobe After Effects 'watermark.'
