MD6001 Week 7 - When the Day Breaks

When the Day Breaks (1999) is a Canadian animated short about the ordinary morning routine of a pig and a chicken that becomes drastic when the chicken is run over after they cross paths. The story of the short is simple and abstract yet the visuals are mundane. While the chicken is run over for example, a series of images are shown in a fast editing style such as parts of the human body and pictures taken throughout his life. These pictures represent a matter of life and death.
