In addition to research of creative fruit art and my experimental fruit exercise, I have found more examples of how fruit can be used in intriguing ways.

Below is a set of fruit sculptures based on DIsney's The Little Mermaid (1989) created by Chef Marta Torres:

I like this set of fruit sculptures because The Little Mermaid is one of my favourite Disney films and the depiction of fresh root ginger as coral or seaweed is clever.

When I went on holiday to Ibiza with my mother in 2010, we saw some melon sculptures that were on display at the gala dinner at the Fiesta Hotel. We also thought they were clever ways to experiment with fruit since we had never seen fruit being used for sculptures before.
