I have written down a list of items that I need to purchase and hire for my two sensory screenings: one at the university on the private view and one at the London Animation Club. I have also researched them to look for their likely costs in this original list:

Smoke machine hire from hirefrequencies.co.uk - £20 per day.

Number of screenings for smoke machine: 2

Total: £40

Actor hire for crowding and touching - Hogarth acting troupe from Contraband Events - cost to be confirmed.

Lavender spray - already owned

Soft fabric - already owned

Organza gift bags of lavender - £7.78 for 30 from amazon.co.uk

Pizza-making ingredients (all available from Tesco)

Pizza bases - £1.45 for a pack of 2, (2 packs for £2.90)

Tomato puree - 50p, (2 for £1)

Cheddar cheese - £2.50, (4 blocks for £10)

Organic garlic - 90p for a pack of 3 (organic)

Dairy free cheese - £2.00, (4 blocks for £8)

Free from white wraps for pizza bases - £2.50 (£10 for 4)

Total excluding actor hire costs: £80.58

My preferred website for crowdfunding is Kickstarter, which I researched in my Logistics, Funding, Public Engagement, Audiences and Ethics for My Major Project post.

I have contacted Contraband Events with my enquiry about hiring an acting troupe called Hogarth to use for a test reaction (some of the troupe can be the audience and others can crowd the audience and touch them).

Due to time constraints I am unable to set up an actual crowdfunding page and during my discussion of my ideas with Mark Colington, he suggested my total budget would be £150 if it includes the cost of catalogue printing. He advised that the university would contribute to the cost of smoke machine hire but I could probably afford the cost of pizza ingredients and a test catalogue print.

Instead of hiring an acting troupe I will be providing 'stage hands' with my fellow MA animation students to crowd the audience, touch them unexpectedly and hand items such as pizza, lavender organza bags and soft fabric.
