I could show my animated documentary at schools, preferably secondary schools in an ethical sense, due to the subject matter of the film, and use similar elements to those in my initial ideas such as actors touching the audience or crowding in front of them, the audience being given bits of food to taste, sprays of pleasant scents or the audience holding lavender.
I have contacted Mark about this idea by sending him the following e-mail:

Logistical list of ideas of what to include in my sensory screening
Actors crowding the audience and touching them unexpectedly.
Sprays of the lavender scent or audiences holding real lavender
Pieces of soft fabric for the audiences to feel
A smoke machine to produce simulated smoke
Small pieces of cheesy and garlicky pizza for audiences to try or alternatives based on individual dietary requirements.
This list is also an example of how the public and audiences would interact with the sensory element of my film.
I have e-mailed Mathew Philip my list to find out if there are any health and safety restrictions regarding my ideas in an ethical sense but as of 25th May 2016 I have not heard back from him.

Here is my response from Mathew:

While there seems to be no problem with the majority of elements, Mathew did see issues with the use of lavender sprays, real lavender and food that may cause potential allergic reactions. He did however suggest I place notices at the entrance of my room for the screenings
I have also e-mailed Carla McKinnon, who has done various exhibitions, asking her how she went about funding and ethical issues for them. I expect to hear from her by 26th May 2016.

Research for Crowdfunding Opportunities
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding website that allows people to raise funds for creative projects such as those for art, film and video, fashion and design. This looks like a suitable option for me to raise funds to budget for the materials I need for the sensory element of my film and if I get a job in the animation industry I could also use this website to raise funding for animation budgets.

Gofundme is a general crowdfunding website where people raise funds for a variety of purposes such as surgery, education, charity and also creative projects. I might also consider this website to crowdfund for my project and future animation projects in a potential animation career.

Crowdfunder is a website that especially allows businesses and creative projects. This is another option worth considering, especially for my potential future animation business.
With regard to the funding opportunities, I could conduct further research to find out how much the materials I need would cost and calculating the total to budget for.
