As suggested by Mark Collington, I have made a progressive animatic, which is basically my animatic combined with the pieces of animation I have made so far. In my first version I have added the sight part I have animated and the remainder of the animatic consists of the original sketches. Subsequent versions include more animation.
In my second version I have added my own animated title as well as collages on three of the title cards to represent three of the five senses thus far.
In my third version I used a thicker paintbrush for the opening titles, re-animated the underwater scene, added the animated smoking shot thus far, removed the music from the negative part of the sound stage and added a different piece of music to the positive part of the sound stage.
In the fourth version I have added some animated titles and an animated garden shot, changed my narration and increased the volume of the funk music during the starburst and wavy blue lines shot.
I have made some significant changes to the fifth version. I removed the underwater shot because it looked noticeably different than the majority of the animation; removed the cotton field panel; added the animated phone shot plus some additional sound effects to accompany it; and placed the smell stage at the end because I am planning on hosting some sensory screenings where a smoke machine will be used at the end to accompany the smoking shot. I have also animated all the title cards to represent each sense and added kerning to the subtitles.
Upon showing my university mentor Emily Smith this version, she suggested I add an additional concluding shot at the end because she felt that the smoking shot made it end abruptly. I will add a representation of the concluding shot to subsequent versions of the progressive animatic.
In the sixth version I completed the entire touch section and adjusted the volume of my narration and the background sounds of the noisy callers on the bus so that my narration is more audible.
In this update of the sixth version I added production stills of the conclusion title and the concluding shot as well as add my mentor's name to the 'special thanks' section of the closing credits.
In this seventh version I have decided to plan a montage of previous clips and add a re-animated version of the underwater shot instead of using a shot of me talking at the end due to time constraints.
In this eighth version I have added the animated pizza shot, both the whole shot and a little part of it in the concluding montage. I have also used an animated version of the 'confusion' title shot.
In this ninth version (and also the near-final version of the film), I have added a big cloud of smoke that covers the entire screen to the smoking shot to emphasise my dislike of people smoking.
